Mrs. Diana Teeters

Mrs. Diana Teeters

Second Grade Instructor

Diana Teeters is in her second year with the EVCA community as a second grade teacher.  Mrs. Teeters has been teaching for 20+ years and of those years has spent the last ten years working at a classical school in a variety of teaching and administrative roles.  Mrs. Teeters has a B.S. in Elementary Education with a TESOL Endorsement.  Mrs. Teeters was named ‘Teacher of the Year’ in 2018. Native to Ohio, Mrs. Teeters and her husband Steve moved to New Mexico 19 years ago and have been a part of the East Mountain community since.  They are blessed with four children, Dominic, Luke, Xavier and Grace.  Mrs. Teeters enjoys reading, sewing, being with family/friends and walks/hikes with her family when she is not spending her time with her children at their different activities. Mrs. Teeters is excited to be a member of the EVCA family.

Mrs. Kellie Tomlin

Mrs. Kellie Tomlin

Social Worker

Mrs. Tomlin joined EVCA in 2022 and has two children who have attended EVCA since 2017.  Mrs. Tomlin is a Clinical Social Worker with a Masters degree in Social work from NMSU and a BBA from UNM.  She has a passion for helping students improve their social/emotional well-being. She has worked at CYFD, as a grief facilitator at The Children’s Grief Center, and as a CASA advocate for foster children.  Additionally, Ms. Tomlin owns her own practice providing mental health counseling in Edgewood.  She also serves as an official arm of the law for the Family Court system by helping divorced parents to make co-parenting decisions. Outside of work Mrs. Tomlin enjoys filling her life with laughter, tending to her mini-farm in Tijeras with her family, and traveling.

Mrs. Pam Torivio

Mrs. Pam Torivio

Business Office Assistant

Pam Torivio is a transplant to NM from Baltimore, MD; although WV is where she spent the majority of her youth.  She has lived in NM for the past 16 years. Married, with 8 children, Pam has spent the past 22 years as a stay-at-home, homeschooling mom. Prior to that she held various administrative jobs after her honorable discharge from the US Marine Corps. She enjoys reading and spending time outdoors…swimming, biking, hiking, and camping.

Mrs. Laura Tuck

Mrs. Laura Tuck

Grammar School EA

Mrs. Tuck is excited to begin her 6th year working at EVCA, this year helping in 1st grade. She loves working with kids and ran a home daycare for 10 years while her children were younger. Originally from Texas, she has lived in Edgewood for the past 9 years with her husband and 3 children. Her husband, Ben, is a retired Air Force veteran of 21 years. Mrs. Tuck has three children, including a son who will be in 6th grade at EVCA this year.  Her other son graduated from EVCA in 2023 and joined the Air Force, and her daughter is a senior at Howard Payne University. Mrs. Tuck enjoys spending time with her family, camping, travelling, and watching her youngest son race.

Ms. Vicky Vail

Ms. Vicky Vail

Philosophy Instructor

Ms. Vail is thrilled to join the EVCA for her first year! Although a New Mexico native, she grew up close to Frankfurt, Germany, where she was blessed to spend her childhood traveling, learning languages, and getting to know other cultures. She moved back to the U.S. for her collegiate degrees and earned her BA in English and Theatre from Hannibal-LaGrange University, and her MLitt and MFA in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin University. For the last few years she has lived in the Midwest, where she has taught college English, Literature, and Theatre, and worked as a Costume Shop Manager and Costume Designer. In her free time you can find her working on creative projects, reading, journaling, or spending time in coffee shops with friends or family.

Ms. Keri Van Vleet

Ms. Keri Van Vleet

Special Education Instructor

Ms. Keri Van Vleet has been officially teaching for 24 years, but really started teaching in third grade when she collected neighborhood children for a summer preschool in her garage.  She has a BA in Early Childhood Education and a handful of master’s degrees, including Special Education, as a result of her love of learning.  Ms. Van Vleet has lived in Utah, Chile, Nevada, and New Mexico and enjoys traveling around the states with her family.  She is excited to be a part of the East Mountains community and the EVCA family.  She has two children, a dog, three cats, and hopes to be adding chickens and goats soon.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.

Mr. Jeremy Vaughan

Mr. Jeremy Vaughan

Security Officer

Jeremy Vaughan graduated from NMSU in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and joined the New Mexico State Police the same year along with his two brothers.  He held many positions in State Police including patrol officer, firearms instructor, sergeant (supervisor), and lieutenant (assistant commander).  He was assigned to the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force and the US Marshal’s Southwest Investigative Fugitive Task Force during his tenure.  He received the 2016 New Mexico Governor’s Distinguished Service Award and his master degree in criminal justice in 2011.  He is married to Victoria, a member of federal law enforcement, and together they have two sons, Tommy and Caleb.  Tommy attends EVCA and Caleb attends the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

Ms. Sarah Werth

Ms. Sarah Werth

Fifth Grade Instructor

Years spent as an SAT/ACT tutor, then as a substitute teacher, have prepared Ms. Werth to effectively lead a classroom focused on respect, confidence, accountability, and fun. She loves hiking with her dog, basking in the glorious New Mexican sunsets, cooking enormous meals while dancing around her kitchen, and creating more jewelry than one woman could possibly need in one lifetime.

Ms. Glorianna Yee

Ms. Glorianna Yee

Student Services EA

Ms. Yee is an Albuquerque native. She received a classical education in high school and is excited to have the opportunity to pass on both the values and life skills that she learned in the process. When Ms. Yee is not at school, she is a scout leader and instructor. In her free time, Ms. Yee can be found reading or playing games with her family.

Mrs. Leslie Young

Mrs. Leslie Young

Performing Arts Instructor

Mrs. Young received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in music from the University of New Mexico. Besides being a wife and mother, there is nothing in the world that she loves more than teaching music. Mrs. Young is the mother of six children and grandmother of a quickly growing crop of beautiful grandchildren. Besides music, she loves painting murals and crazy colors on the walls of her house, landscaping her yard, and spending time with family.
