We are so glad that you or your student(s) have interest in participating in an EVCA after school club! In order for a student to participate in an after school club, please familiarize yourself with the general rules and guidelines below, and reach out to the club leaders listed next to each club of interest. Clubs run all year unless otherwise specified. There is no club on days where there is no school. Some clubs can be affected by weather- club leaders will reach out to families to notify them of any last minute cancellations.
*Clubs typically start about two weeks after a new school year starts, or later.
1) Communication
Please inform your student’s teacher(s) (K-6) that they are signed up and will be attending any after school club. It is understandable that plans can change, but in the event that your student has to miss a day or is being removed from the club all-together, please inform your student’s club leader AND teacher – it is presumed upon sign up that they will be attending club consistently each week.
2) Behavior Expectations
Students are expected to follow the 8 Pillars of Character as well as any club rules set forth by the volunteer club leader for the entirety of the students’ club attendance. Students are to show up to club on time and get signed in for attendance. Students are to stay at their club location until released by their volunteer club leader. If a student is found to not be at their club location when they are expected to be, or if they leave club early without club leader permission, this can result in removal of the club indefinitely and/or school disciplinary action.
Students are expected to be prepared with any items or supplies needed for club and should arrive at school on the day(s) of club with these items.
Parents and guardians are expected to be respectful of the volunteer club leader’s time, by arriving on time to pick up their student(s).
3)After club pick-up procedures
Option 1: Pull in to the West (front) of the school in LANE A (~5 min before club ending time). Have your regular pick-up placards displayed for club leaders and volunteers to see clearly, in order to direct the students to their vehicles.
Option 2: Park in the front visitor lot and walk to bring your regular pick-up placard or ID to wait at the gate for your student.
Need to pick up your student early from club? Please inform club leader/volunteers in advance, and use the contact information of the volunteer club leader and follow their instructions.
